View Full Version : A Simple Thank-You, My Friend
laughingrose 04-02-01, 12:48 AM Into the dim lit, bare walls of my world,
You entered, bringing light and life to me,
The vivid colors, painted with a swirl
Of wit and charm, of personality,
With tender care, you added comfort, warmth,
And images that line the now bright walls.
I look upon them fondly, bringing forth
A thankfulness that you walk in these halls
With me; our friendship has become a part
Of my world now; it has its special place,
Within my being, life, and in my heart,
Your name hangs right beside your smiling face.
Rememb'ring just how drab these walls had been,
I have to thank you for the light, my friend

YOUR LOVE
You loved him completely as a man
Something no other had ever done
You loved him completely beyond your years
With a devotion not known to him
You loved him completely without restraint
Never slowing to watch and wait
You loved him completely with all your heart
While knowing that one day it would fall apart
But for this he loved your poetic soul
As it kept him alive for over a year
But your heart he knew he’d stole
So he sadly had to give it back
Before he emptied your very soul……

laughingrose 20-02-01, 09:04 PM Be here in my eyes
So others may see
The beauty and presence of your love
In one who was blind, but now believes.
Be here in my heart
Flow through my blood
Stengthen my soul and wash me clean
A living example of what your grace has done
Be here in my hands
Give me your touch
Use me to comfort and to build
Shelter for those who need your love
Breathe words to my lips
So I may speak
Echo your truth and living words
Allah, make me all that I can be.
