Ever thought of killing your self for a reason..or tried but Allah decided to give you an another chance!?Or maybe know somebody who did?:duh:

i have a freind that would swallow 20-30 panadols when ever she's reallly really upset... a couple of times.... and i know this other girl that took a blade to her wrist and started to cut her self... if her sister hadnt found her in the bathroom and stopped her.. god knows what would of happened to her...the list goes on and on... but u dont hear about someone that actully goes through it...in oman i mean... but havnet u noticed that the thought or atempt happens more with girls...

knowing that it is 7aram ( Forbidden in islam) i have erased it from my mind totaly!! but i cant deny that it crossed my mind more than once!

the thing is.. life isnt easy!! but..you get over problems..and look at the bright side of every situation that happens! there's a reason for everything. and inshallah..all good things shall happen to every one of you.

hmm...never..:D.... the thing is..no matter how bad it gets...u can always know there is someone else..in a much worst situation...and got through it...why cant u?...

hmm...never actually knew a suicided..person....but hear from time to time... people are sometimes weak..and lose faith....but they should always..know there is hope no matter what....

an indian guy hang himself in alkhud couple of yr back ,,and found dead ,,wonder why !!!

Ihave never thought of committing suicide as I rarely had serious tough problems but who knows maybe this thought will come to my mind one day yet i don’t think I’m going to do it as I’m a Muslim. I know one Indian person who killed himself by hanging his head on a fan as he had many problems with his parents and wife but i think he wouldn't do such thing if he was a real muslim

I like the way u think, i think that we should all think like that ,,, dont look up and envy who is better than us, look down and be greatful. I'm sure it will push suicide out of ur head.

As muslims we should know that this is all a life-test, and also have faith in allah, lack of faith might blind alot of ppl.

My aunt's cook killed himself....a couple of years ago i found him dead in his room.....wasn't very nice to look at.

well i personally never thought of it..as even if a m so depressed i dont think that i will rejoice once i am dead!!

and of course it is 7aram in islam...but once the maid at my grandmothers house committed suicide because she was in love with our driver and he didnt feel the same way towards her so she killed her self.!

No at all, 1st cauz it is 7aram in our religion, 2ed I'm not that weak person to think like that...I face any prb I get.

Hmmmm first of all Suicide is conciderd to be a sin... so who ever commits it .. its staright heading to hell with no TALK!!!

About a thought of commiting it... well there are times probably ppl tend to go through a lot of problems and they same to them selfs well its better if I just die... but than thats as well called ... being WEAK!

In order to over come that .... you have to be very much strong.. and to do that is being reading a lot of the quran .. that gives you big faith!

Well as neena said, many times people would just wish that they were dead, some really mean it, but others just say it in a moment of sadness, but they don't actually mean it! They wouldn't be serious about it because they know it's 7aram. The question is, how do you know whether the person who tells you this is really serious or not! You have to be careful, try and get the perosn out of this gloomy mood.
As for myself, the idea of suicide has never crossed my mind, because as DD said, there are a lot of people who are in much worse conditions but they're surviving and moving on, so I have to be grateful for what I've got.

I guess that like u said that the rate of suiciding is girls more higer than boyys,,,cause all the stress is on here not the boy...so i guess who kills him or her self only lask faith!!! :weep:

Chines are the most of the ones who do it. They often do it by dumping off the highest building!

About me, i always think like DeDe if im in some trouble, or anything bad had happned to me, i always thank Allah that its just that! people get even worce then what i get 100000 times! its a lesson, get over it and move on


The idea never clicked to me

An uncle of mine commited suicide when I was a baby. Because of that I was always taught that suicide is the easy way out. A coward's escape. My mother put alot of pressure on me growing up to be tough and strong. Any sign of weakness was brought down hard on me. At the time it was really difficult, but now I'm happy cause of it's result.
So that idea was squashed out even before I started practicing Islam and learning about it. ( And that was YOUNG). :p

I've never considered killing myself......but I have wished to die at Allah's will. Which of course is wrong I know. But as you all said, only in the bad times. I try to remember that any hard time is a test from Allah, and that only patience and faith will get me through.
