I have nothing against spitting as long as it is not done in public..i mean ppl can spit all they want in private...and i guess it is really bad here as there is a sign in Qurum that i noticed a while ago that says "it is prohibited to spit here" or something simiar to that!!

Actually it's not the spit that grosses me out. It's the habbit of them doing it. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. Are they trying to look manly or something? Cool? Healthy?

Any man (or woman) who spits in inappropriate places (meaning anywhere in public) is lacking in manners and civilised behaviour.

I think its just plain wrong, disgusting in fact, and I couldn't possibly respect a person who does such a thing.
