I am sure that many agree with me that a man alone nowdays cannot provide enough finance for the house, so woman's work became an important thing.

What do you think about this issue? Do you beleive that women should work or do you think it is better for her to stay at home and raise the kids of the future??

Its not about whether or not women should or shouldnt, its about having the CHOICE. If a woman wants to have a career, then she should be able to, without feelings of guilt or shame.
If she wants to stay at home, then that should be ok too.

Its all about personal choice.;)

Yes I totallly agree with you ..
but I am asking peoples' point of view of what they think is more proper. In order to make a choice, you need to be well informed. One of the way to be well informed is to ask peoples' opinions coz some of them might be experienced enough to help you in your choice :)

I want to work. I want to work full-time. I want to be a successful writer, Women's rights advocator, maybe journalist, maybe women's social policy developer, maybe discrimination lawyer, a taekwondo (self-defence) instructor, and an orphanage owner.

I want to strategically balance all of that with being a successful mother, daughter, sister, friend, and maybe oneday, wife.

I think the world is my oyster, and anyone that tells me otherwise classifies in my book as more incentive to succeed...a mere motivator to work harder.

There is an arabic saying:
'A7la minee Allah khala2a, ashtar minee dama fala2a!', which means 'To be prettier than me is God's doing (out of my hands), but to be more clever/more successful than me, over my dead body!!!! No bloody way!

I think its matter of choice and agreement between the couple, whether to stay at home or to work.

I would say the former will be much appreciated as it will be much more in the benefit of the family (kids)and society at large than the later.

Nothing like watching your kids growing up while you're there 24/7 and giving the maximum attention required to build the better foundation of their life and be good citizens.

As long as this work not gonna affect the children bringing up ,,and the care should be given to them ,,then i think it's ok with due regard to the nature of her work !!:rolleyes:

what i beleive in that women if want to work ,,,they would choose the proper job ,,so they can concentrate on their children & their bringing up ... there r many jobs don't suite the women specially in our society ,,, ((I mean Oman)).. :D

I think a woman SHOULD work. Today's life doesn't really leave you with that choice. It's an expensive living out there, why dump it all on the husband?! When you get married you are sealing a bond to take care of eachother, to be partners. Not him to take care of you!!

Another thing, since the mother is the one who is involved more with the upbringing of the children she should be well educated, involved with the world around her and knowing what exactly is going on out there in order to prepare her children for that. And working covers all that. ;)

It may be hard, but tons of women do it everyday and have children to be proud of. You just need to know how to balance it all.

It is really difficult to decide, if the woman will go to work she has to be really strong enough cusp her husband and kids need care at home and also at work they want her to work effectively …so if she’ll not be able to equalize these to parts it’ll be so difficult to her to cope with the situation…but as I m women and I know that the women try to do their best at home and work… :D

i think women should work to help her husband in same time to raise the kids :wink:
