When I write something, say a sentence , then go in the middle to add something the new word "eats" and takes over the place of the old text.
When I press "insert" in my keyboard, this doesn't happen.
Is there a way to make this permenant?
I'm fed up with pressing enter everytime:(
Thanks :)
Well the insert button is used for this purpose.
But you don't need to hold the insert button, one push is enough to make u able to insert the text.
Pressing insert again will remove that function of inserting the text, and will make u "eat" the old text as has been happening to u.
So actually pressing the insert once will make it permanent. Untill u press it again.

yes, I meant "insert".
but this is no permenant. I have to press it every other while, I don't know when exactly.
but say I pressed it and the text is not eaten, when I reboot the text is eaten and I have to press it again.
sometimes I press it , then work on another doc and have to press it agian and ............. :(
what should I do ?
THanks :)

I've noticed something. In my P.C, the Num Lock is always alit, I don't have to hit it whenever I want to use those number keys (uou know those keys that are in a square on the right of the keyboard - do they have a name? )
The Caps is always off.
in other PCs, they might need to hit the Num key whenever they want to use them, as is the case with me in unsert button.
Does this make any sense? Just trying to put 2 and 2 togther.
Thanks :)
