is it fair the way salaries being distributed to omanis..
why in some areas as the military, some foriegns as british and americans get 4 times more than omanis.(this is true and not an exaggerating)..for instance ""wakeel"" gets OR400 if omani..but if britich he gets RO1800 !!!! why !!! what is the difference between both !! does the money come from UK or US rather than from OMAN !!!>.. why managers in some companies get around RO500-1000 while foriegners get doubled or even more... !!...
it is a problem ...! need to be discussed...

Yeah, its very compromising situation and definitely unfair for many employees across all Ministries and Private sector companies. Life in Oman is getting more expensive while salaries still the same if not going down. I hope we don't end up with suicide cases because its very frustrating and depressive especially for our generation.

Hey guys:
You should take the subject logically.The British who work in Oman are earning higher salaries coz they left their country and came to work here.They're being given the same share that they're supposed to earn in their country.Is it possible to give them same amount,though they resist the hot weather in Oman?.Do you think they've come to Oman loving you? Absolutely not!!!!!!!!
It's just opinion,and I know there are other facts we don't have any idea about.

criminal..i wonder where you live exactly...if u r in oman and never being to UK.. then i don't blame u .. but I don't agree with you when u said that they don't want to work in Oman .. i know many british who used to work in oman .. and they dream to go there again and work forever and live there ..
and about the salaries...why then don't we give indians as they get in their countries i.e give them 3 ryals..!! or what do u want to say ...that what i understood from u when u said ( given the same share that they're supposed to earn in their countries)...???,, and what about the sun and the hot weather..common man ...don't believe in everything... it is like a game...
now tell me what if i tell u that some indian nurses get 600-700 riyals ?? go and search for this ..

Well, actually my opinion was based on what I've read about the statistics that put England in the top with the North American countries that have a high standard of life.I know how unfair it is,but what can we do????? Our country is wasting money,and we're only openning our mouthes,watching what's going on but not catching on any thing.

I've just meant the British who work in the military.Can somebody tell me how much they earn in England.Certainly,they get higher salaries in Englan coz their carencey is higher.

Please forgive me, I totally agree to both sides. These people when they come to what is called "third or developing countries" such as our beloved Oman, they come as experts not as employees (according to the employers and Omani systems). That’s one, second they are here for your money not for fun or loving you or your countries, so if they don't get at least 100% more than in their countries they will never come.

Also guys; did you know that in SQU there are 3 different salary classification Academic, Technical and General the first one is for both Omanis and Expatriates but not the less for Omanies and the Technical is just for Expatriates because the starting salary for a job is almost the total salary if Omani's doing the same job.

Another thing, and I wish few officials see this, if any Omanis or other nationals work abroad say US, they are treated equally as the US nationals. I have seen that myself not only in smaller companies but also in big Fortune 100. Why is this? Simple: excellent Policy and Management. "Policy is by the people to the people", NOT "from the authorities against the people". No wonder we still "third world countries" maybe we should be called "10th world countries."
