yesterday morning a friend of mine called in a hurry asking for the phone number of AAA - you know that car rescue service based in Al Sarooj - it turns out that she is driving in Qurum and as she parks her car , she sees woman FRANTIC - trying to get her little girl out of the locked car. They called AAA and ROP . they both took there good time to arrive , and if it wasnt for a group of Omani men at the scene who rescued the girl by breaking open the car , the poor girl would have died inside the car from the heat!!!!!!!!! ofcourse after getting her out only did the POLICE and AAA arrive.

Triple A in Oman!!!, I myself personally thought it only exsist at the northern part of America...It is so workable throughout the states for no doubt. Recently, I had a flat tire, it took them only 5 minutes to arrive, it is for free since somebody upkeeping paying the six months subscription.

Anqaa, the little baby story remind me of a similar story happened in America, but a bit differently. The mom get out of the car, she thought the fuel rate was enough to keep the car running for a crucial period of time, the car suddenly ran out of gas. The little baby found no breath, after a little while had to pass away....

Please everybody, take care of your kids http://www.omania.net/evip/ubb/smile.gif

Thank you for the story Anqaa.....

Thanks Anqaa. There are many of these stories happened due to the mistakes of parents and the untrained and irresponsible policemen. You may heard about the story of Mtrah Suq fair. Ibri Fire. And many.

My self I have this experince:

One day I was driving with one of my friends in Al-hail at a raining day. It was Friday, around 6:00 Pm. We saw a fire started on the high-tension line. May be due to a break down in the electric insulator. This line is of 11 000 Volts. It should be a major electricity supply line. The pole that catches the fire is very close to houses. Immediately we called 999 (What we call them the civil defense, part of ROP). Instead of asking details of the situation, they asked us my full name, where I work, what is my national ID number. After all of this, they told us, go and call the police office at Al-Seeb!!!!! We don’t have al Seeb number, we said. They replied, this is not of our business!!!!!!!
Then who is the responsible? In a cases like, to whom we should call?? What ROP is doing? Only collecting money from poor people for over speeding?! http://www.omania.net/evip/ubb/mad.gif

I remember one day in CNN I watched an interview in USA with a head of rescue team. He have been asked about that his team get lot of mistaken calls, from kids, drunker, and he rush to the place and find no problem, he have been asked, is this not embarrass you? He said, if I get only one true-risk call out of 1000 wrong calls and save a life, I will be satisfied.

What we did learn from this? Where are our police when we need them? Dose our (rescue teams, if any) response in this way? Or would response?

I am asking you all, are you satisfied with the performance of ROP?“

You are right network!!! That is the best thing can be done by them! Really, we suffer from such things. Forget about the carelessness of the mother and did she forget the kid inside, and think about those who should rescue our lives! Sometimes, it takes the rescuer ages reach the place of evidence. At that time, it might be too late! So many problems were solved by the locals.

REALLY AMAIZING!!!!

Thanks you all for responding , and welcome Rannem al Hayat - You see folks in such a situation its not only ROP that are at fault , what on earth was the mother thinking? I know people around the world that are willing to give an eye for a child , and our society seems to produce children like chikens .... but the aim is to take care for them , if it was me i could have broken the glass with MY TEETH just to get my child out of there , is nt this the motherly instinct we always here about? as for AAA - i think they should pack up and go back home , or do they want to wait till someone actually dies from their delay in rescue. forgive me all , i just feel very strongly about issues that concern little angels - children.
